Sunday, May 17, 2009 there's something wrong with blogger. the layout doesn't seem to be working fine. anyways, weeks passed just like that. uni life is seriously very fast. except those in aussie uni, all my friends have made it past the first yr of university. congratulations and hang in there for the remaining years. and hope all of u get a good result. the reason why this blog is becoming stagnant is because i have too much thoughts that i wanted to jot down but it's too much that i forgotten. oh wells at the beginning of this month, we gave a friend a surprise bday party. even tho it may not be much, but it's always the thoughts that count right? it's during this bday that i realise that i do not expect much for my bday. this is strange esp since i'm one who likes to make a big deal about my bday. but i guess this is just a limitation of living overseas. turning 20 this yr. i'm actually very excited to turn 20. afterall, it's the start of your prime and things will start changing on large scales once u enter ur 20s. we'll begin by getting our degrees, honours, masters or even phd. then, we have to be thrown out into the society and start working and can no longer afford to make mistakes like in the past. then, we start living off ourselves instead of off our parents. and we start giving our parents money. sooner than u know, ppl around u will start getting married and owning their own property, having cars and having a family. see, so much changes just by entering ur prime. isn't this something to look forward to? hang on! some random picture to brighten up my post! hahahhaa! i did say "random" picture. do you know who he is? :] let's continue but sadly, as my bday approaches, i'm getting more frustrated. at least i still have around 4 months now. but do u know what's the source of my frustrations? it is that i do not know what i aim to achieve this year. look at the stars nowadays, alot of the popular stars are around our age. they may be one, two yrs older than us, but the amt of achievement they have in incomparable. obviously, i know that it's because they're celebrities and we're not. but if u look at it from another perspective, they've started working at what, 17, 18 yrs old. and got to where they are today.but what were we doing at 17, 18 yrs old? just studying in JC and that's all. some celebritites might have gotten big cos of luck, while others due to hard work. but they are striving for it. unlike me. i'm not saying that i want to become a celebrity but well, there are ppl out there, still studying in university, but yet they have business of their own already. this is one big achievement! now realistically speaking, i'm unable to achieve something that big as yet. but i am currently achieving nothing. in 2008, i flew to australia and got settled down here all by myself. that is an achievement. but what can i achieve this yr? so far, all i'm leading is just a very boring uni life. everyday, wake up, go to uni, come back, study and do tutorials, slp and the cycle goes on. there's nothing major. i did manage to bring my sis to GC and to a few of the tourism places by myself tho i'm unfamiliar with the place here, but it isn't big enough for me. what can i achieve this yr? what did you achieve this yr? share some thoughts and perhaps i can get some inspiration as to what can i achieve this yr. |
