Sunday, May 24, 2009 RAIN, STOP, RAIN, STOP! well, it's been pouring over here, raining day in and out. Seasons are changing and it's winter! :] anyway, on saturday, nana, rach and i went to DFO! i was surprised at the amount of ppl there but i got to see many adorable kids! :] next stop! grocery shopping! since the supermarket closes at 5pm on saturdays, we are kinda on a tight schedule. anyway, i still manage to get my week's supply for food and we went to experience a night in india! hahah! that's the name of the indian restaurant. BUT! we went there at 4 and the restaurant only opens at 430! so we ended up waiting outside the restaurant with all our groceries!! and someone pointed out that we're totally bringing the chinese culture when we started squatting in front of the restaurant to rest our legs.!! how embarrassing right? but, that scene only continued on for a few mins before we sat at some other place shown below!  this is where we sat and waited before the restaurant opened  we're the first customer! empty restaurant  smile! :]  rach and me!  papadums!.  Dinner from a bird's eye view! :]  Chicken & Cheese Naan! :] NICE!  Chicken Tikka - Chicken breast fillet slices marinated and cooked with special tandoori sauce. :]  Balti - Chicken cooked with lentils & herbs. (Hot)  Korma - Mild curry with creamy cashew nut gravy (Very Hot) We love the naan so much that we decided to buy 3 more naans to take away. and interestingly, their takeaway menu is cheaper than their dine in menu, altho the portion seems the same. altho our curry is "Hot" and "Very hot", only the very hot curry taste slightly spicy. next time, i should just order the hottest one termed "Super Hot (Action)". afterall, it's REALLY hard to judge their hotness when ordering here. but on the overall, it's a nice dinner! :] alrights, time for me to cook dinner now! |
