Wednesday, June 25, 2008  xian & me at siloso  going to wash up :]  after a COOLING bath. :]  on the tram :] I was going to blog about what a wonderful time I had at the beach and about how lucky I was cause it actually rained in the morning. I was also going to blog about how i love Siloso beach as compared to Palawan. To me, Siloso is so much better cos it's quieter, the sand is cleaner, the beach is cleaner and the water is clearer. I do not like Palawan simply cos I got stung by jelly fish over there before and everytime I go to that beach, someone's bound to get injured. In fact, i was just playing at the edge of the beautiful sea when the movement of the lifeguard caught my attention. He hurriedly pulled the banana boat and paddled out to the sea. I knew there were two lifeguards on duty in that particular lookout so i located the other lifeguard. Indeed, something was happening out there. The other lifeguard was already in the waters trying to pull this guy onto shore. But, do not be mistaken. This guy was perfectly okay, he just struggled a little trying to swim back to this side of the island from the small island opposite. But, this was also where the tragedy began. When the guy joined his group of friends onshore, They begun shouting another guy's name. (At this point of time, it seemed like I was the only one in the area who noticed that there's something going on in that area. The group of people closer to them seriously could not give a damn about it at all.) Not only was there no response from the guy himself, but there was totally no sign of him at all in the sea. Upon seeing this, the two lifeguard immediately called for backup, took off their shirts, grabbed their snorkelling mask and ran into the sea and search the entire area that the group of friends had been playing at. One of them even swam across to the small island to search for him. Within 2 - 3 minutes, around 4-5 more lifeguards reached the scene and they all immediately took off their shirt and ran into the sea to find the guy. At this point, the waves got rather choppy, and I'm not being dramatic. The lifeguard told everyone to get out of the sea. (Common sense would tell us that cause the lifeguards in the area have all been tasked to finding the guy so none of them could look out for others' safety. But as usual, some people do not have common sense.) After what I hoped to be only 3-4 minutes, they managed to find the guy and pulled him to shore and tried to resuscitate him for many minutes after. As the crowd watch on, the guy just laid lifeless there and the group of people that was nearer to the scene (mentioned earlier) went back into the sea and begun playing around and laughing around when everyone else was hoping that the guy would be okay. Of course, they were chased out by one of the lifeguards soon after. After many minutes, the ambulance finally came and the paramedics continued trying to resuscitate him, but could not do much. They finally put him on the stretcher and wheeled him out of Siloso. When they wheeled him out, you can see the paramedics still trying to resuscitate him and his whole body look so lifeless. If you have followed what i write so far, I believe you know his chances of survival is little seeing how long he has been underwater, not breathing. It would really take a miracle for him to survive and i'm a believer of miracles being granted now and then. So, let us cross our fingers and hope that we do not see any news about his death tml. To those IDIOTIC bastards/bitches(the group that went into the water again): It doesn't mean that if you have no relation to that guy, you can just take his life as a joke. A life is a life. If you do not know how to behave when in times of emergency like this, I do not fault you. But to go on kidding about how you can buy 4D with regards to this incident? This is simply cruel. I think the amount of EQ you guys have added up, cannot be compared to a normal person's EQ. Thanks rara for being there for me :] On a lighter note. I'm sunBURNT. Burnt badly in fact. I'm super hot now. the heat is radiating from all the places that got in contact with the sunray. so i have to sleep with the aircon and fan blowing right at me in order to cool me down enough to be comfortable. Let's just not talk about the pain. I had a terrific day and even bought the balestier's famous tau sa pia for my daddy from vivo :] they have a new branch there. oh! and Happy House is having 50% for some of their items! seen many discounted cushion! i like the pink pig but it's like only some branches have. But at this point, i don't think i should be spending my money on this. hmms.. nvm, at least i got a vision of it! :]  a "figurine" i made with clara and my pillow placed in her jacket. and i found many cute stuff from Action City!  ipod casing cum speakers  USB cup warmer. cool huh?  i just think it's cute.  this is big bird's son. small bird. :] alrights! i shall go cool myself down alot now! :] stay cool! |
