Sunday, August 30, 2009  OSU presents SG Buzz! with Hossan Leong. needless to say, it was a blast! Hossan leong came and gave us all much laughters about typical singapore jokes and what not. and after that, free AWESOME dinner at stanford hotel. catered to singaporean taste of course. it's been so long since i last had such a good meal here! some pictures of the event. i'm still waiting for another uploader tho!  UQSSS with Kok Wee (he works for the PM office) and is the organiser of this event. funny dude!  me and kim!  dawn and i just decided to be crazy. hahaha.. and we're attempting frenchfries next time!  Dinner :] hopefully more pictures coming up! i'm just waiting for this one picture!! Saturday, August 29, 2009 Strangers before, a world apart, we barely noticed one another. I took on more roles in organising events this semester, and it starting to resemble bits of council. but the only thing is, it's not the 26th that i'm organizing these events with. :[ As i browsed thru my council folders trying to find all the JJ cheers for the upcoming asean uni games, i chanced upon this song. this song is 26th's song. and it's been a long time since i last sang it with them. i really miss the 26th and i miss council life. i keep wondering when will be the next time that i get to organise a camp and play with so much waterbombs, doing mass dance, song singing and cheering. it's just hard to believe that we can no longer do all these tgt. all these files really brings back memories. i came across the staff retreat folders and realise that i have forgotten the tune to JJ spirit! i only recall the "aahhhaa" parts. and i still have this "crapping" document where zhongru, weiming and i had a fake online msn chat during the chestnut drive camp. i miss michelle's high pitch screams. i just suddenly miss that alot, no idea why. sighhs.. no matter what, it's still at least 3 months before i can meet up with any of the councillors. but till then, i shall go read the scrap book you guys made for me. :] Wednesday, August 26, 2009 i'm grinning like a mad idiot in the library now. but it doesn't matter! you made my day! big eyes! big smile! Tuesday, August 25, 2009 a zombie is writing this post. :] anyway, i've been quite busy lately but i shall try not to let my blog get stale. let's see, tmr, i'm attending this function where the minister (Mr. Iswaran) is coming down to give us a talk. well, it's actually for the healthcare sector but as part of the UQSSS (UQ Singapore Student Society) committee, i get to grace the occasion. :] anyway, the high comm is coming down too and i do want to network with him. This coming friday, i have another event! OSU (Overseas Singapore Unit) has organised this event called sg Buzz. and they have brought in a guest speaker - Hossan Leong to share his experience working in many countries with us. well, with Hossan Leong, i'm sure we'll be guaranteed a night of laughters. Now this two events is why i bought my 4 inch court shoes! hope it doesn't kill me tmr! and on Saturday! there's a SPORTS CARNIVALE! i missed last yr's one due to midsem but i would be able to attend this sem! it's somewhat like a major party but just with sports involved! well, it's only 2 bucks and i get a free shirt and some fun! and the 2 bucks is for cancer research. so why not! This sums up my week's schedule! I've decided to attend Singapore Community Day (SCD) which is held in Canberra next month. well, altho i think it might be abit expensive, but after asking around, it's around the normal price for travelling there. and cos there's really not much to see there, 2 days there would be sufficient. anyways, SCD is an event where the High Comm invites all fellow singaporeans down for lunch. as much as this is a good opportunity to network and visit Canberra, i foresee myself eating lettuce for the month of September and October. And after i come back from SCD, i'll jump right into Asean Uni Games (AUG). it's basically a games competition between the students who came from Asean. well, it's just between the few uni here in QLD. so it's not that huge a scale but it's similar to the three local unis organising a singapore event. welll, this should be fun. as long as the leader stop forgetting to put my email in! oh look! i've blogged quite abit! i'm super zombie-fied now. i shan't even bother waiting half more hour till my network refreshes. oh wells. nights~ p.s: if u have a twitter acct, tell me ur username! i like to have more updates on twitter! i can only have you in my dreams~ Monday, August 24, 2009 HELLO!! i should be sleeping now but i'm still here. i MANAGED to get thru one week of busybusybusy week! seems like next week would not be any better! i'll continue zooming around for now! anyway, had a blast at movieworld yesterday! whee :] but dead tired. and i've finally decided to tweet or twit (however u spell it!). i'm pineapplefunk! come find me! last but not least, i bought a 4inches high court shoe for formal/smart casual wear. well, this is australia, u can hardly find other heights. NIGHTS Saturday, August 15, 2009 HOHOHOHO! This coming week will be very hectic for me! Let's see, to begin the week, i have a mid sem that requires me to read alot to prepare for it. i feel like gouging my eyes out from the readings man. on top of that, i have two audit quiz due on thurs! MORE READINGS and more eye gouging!. following that, i have a stats quiz due on sunday! and to top it off, i only end school at 7pm on tues and weds, and i have a meeting on wed night and on friday. AND, i'm going movieworld on saturday!. talk about hectic! wish me luck in getting thru this week! i shall proceed back to my readings. i can do it! Thursday, August 13, 2009 HOWDY! i've finally come to clear the spiderwebs on my blog! alot has happened since my last post but i'll just provide the summarized version. before i left for australia, i went on a fishing trip with my family! i love to fish! but only when my dad's with me. well, it's a father-daughter thing. and this time round, i finally got to go fishing on a boat! i was always on land the previous time (except for kelong). i caught 10 fishes that day but the biggest fish caught goes to my sis! anyway, even since i've came here, i've been pretty busy. busy socialising and getting into the groove of studying. well, it's week 3 now and i've decided to ground myself this week in order to try and catch up on my workload and study. but the subj combi that i have this sem is no mean feat. especially when 3 of them are yr 3 subjs. but i'm determined to get thru them! gambatte!! furthermore, i'm taking more active roles in the singapore society in UQ. i'm currently the events director! well, once a councillor, always a councillor. and also, i'm on the planning committee for asean uni games! doesn't it all sound so fun! well, now all my spare time would go to organising all these stuff. hopefully i still have time to go to the gym tho. i'll make time for that! on the more negative side now, it really surprises me how priorities really change as people grow up. i'm sure they do change, but there are just some that are weird. make new friends but keep the old. just how many old friends have u kept? this friendship isn't complicated or hard to maintain, u just don't bother. and honestly, i don't want to care anymore. i've finally given up on you now. and i'm truly disappointed in u. i honestly thought u were going to be one of my oldest friend. there's no point in being the top if u have no EQ. enough said. now i feel down. :[ someone tell me a joke pls? do u know that i miss you? :] |
